WHAT’LL I WEAR for CONCERTS?

Women: All black dress or skirt, knee-length or longer or black dress pants, black tops with 3/4 or full length sleeves, dark stockings and black shoes. No sleeveless tops, T-shirts, or jeans, please. Holiday corsages and spring scarves will be available at call.

Men: Black dress pants and black jacket. Tux jackets are ok. White collared shirt. Black socks and shoes. No T-shirts or jeans, please. Red bow-ties are available at call for winter concert, black bow-ties for spring concert.

No perfumed anything (cologne, hair spray, deodorant, etc.) may be worn for dress rehearsals or concert appearances. Please shower ahead of time and use unscented personal products. Be sure watches, alarms/cell phones are turned OFF before performances and recordings.

Tickets: Tickets to both Winter and Spring concerts are $6 each, $15 for a family of four.

Cookies and Snacks are available at rehearsal break time through your generosity. Please sign up to bring treats once a year and put some change in the coffee fund once in a while!

Chorus Member Roster: You will receive a Chorus roster for your personal use. If any of your information changes, please let the Chorus Manager know so that the roster can be kept current. Please do not share the list with others.

Rehearsal Schedule

Spring Session:

Every Thursday 7-9 pm through May 13, 2008.

Chamber Chorale rehearsals every Thursday 6:15 - 7 pm

General Member Information

We encourage current singers to register for sessions early to “reserve” their seat in the chorus. While we are a non-audition choir, we do have a size limit, and space is on a first-come basis.

Attendance at rehearsals is crucial to your success as a musician. Regular attendance is expected! If you will be unable to attend a rehearsal, please contact your section’s greeter ahead of time. If you miss three rehearsals, we will contact you to check if you are still interested in singing with the chorus or not. Singers who miss more than three rehearsals may be asked to demonstrate to the conductor knowlege of the music before being allowed to sing in a concert.

Section Greeters are also available to answer your general questions about the chorus, and are also available to discuss suggestions and concerns.

Important: While attendance at scheduled rehearsals is essential, your attendance at Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY. If you don’t attend, you cannot sing in the concert.

Participation: The administration of this organization is handled primarily by volunteers; we depend not only on your musical talents, but also your efforts to sell tickets, publicize performances, encourage patrons and donors, recruit members, and serve on committees.
