Accompanist
| Alice Williams |

|
Meet our wonderful accompanist Alice Williams:
Alice Williams has lived in Missoula since 1979. She has been organist for the University
Congregational Church for over 25 years and has accompanied soloists and choirs during that time. She studied piano
through high school and into college, and studied organ with John Ellis at the University of Montana. She and her husband
Clem enjoy gardening, taking long walks and hiking near their cabin in the Nevada Creek area.

The Founding Four
In June 2001, Susan Fortner, Dan Hampson, Robbin Roshi, and Jon Rose met, along with other interested
people, had a lovely dinner, and before you knew it, the Missoula Community Chorus was born! Our first rehearsal
was September 13th, 2001, two days after the US was attacked on 9/11. The chorus was an immediate success, in part because
we are very aware that community building is a very important part of our mission.
Music is a healing medium, through which we reach beyond our differences, in order to create
a work of beauty for the benefit of the whole.
